Ministry Description
World Impact is a church-planting organization that works in the inner-cities across the United States. In Newark, we reach out to the local community by providing a top-quality education at a low cost at Newark Christian School. I am in my fourth year as principal of Newark Christian School. Despite having to combine 5th and 6th grades because we are short a teacher, this year has gone well. The school is celebrating its' 25th year. We are having a celebration ion Saturday, May 8. It has been exciting getting in touch with former students and staff. I am looking forward to meeting former students and getting back in touch with students I taught. It has already been such a blessing hearing from former students about how being a student at NCS affected their lives in such positive ways. The biggest challenge has been and continues to be the need for missionary staff, including teachers and community ministry. It is difficult when I have to combine grades and don't have room for new students. The community ministry team has their hands full with 2 teen nights and a weekly Bible study.
Prayer Requests
-3 classroom teachers, music teacher, gym teacher and a full-time nurse for the school -volunteers to help in classrooms or in our after-care program -school student to grow in their walk with Jesus, especially for our Sixth Graders as they graduate in June and move onto other schools where they will be challenged in their faith. -wisdom and guidance as I lead the school and deal with teachers, students, and parents.
