Ministry Description

I am presently part of a community ministry team. We hold a weekly family Bible study and have been encouraged to see a sense of community developing amongst those attending. We now have two teen groups. Barnabas meets on Friday evenings and is for teens who are in high school. Timothy meets on Tuesday nights and is for 7th & 8th graders. There is also a leader training session held each week for the 8 teen leaders. Ruth (a member of our team) and I have been teaching the Kids' EE at Newark Christian School to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. It has been a joy to see kids come to Christ through Kids' EE, grow in an understanding of their faith, and for some to begin to share Christ with others. We have a Saturday community program for children ages 6-12 (King's Kids) where we teach a Bible lesson as well as have recreation. I also continue to teach Bible in the 4th grade at NCS and disciple two women.

Prayer Requests

--That I will "keep my spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." (Romans 12:13) despite the brokenness and lack of commitment in so many in the community. --For an abundance of God's wisdom, strength and love for me as I teach, counsel and share the Gospel with others. --For the Lord to go before me, working in the hearts of people a desire to know Him and grow in Him. --For our community ministry team to grow in our love for one another in a way that will speak to others of the reality of Christ. --For the 8 teen leaders to grow in their walk with the Lord and in leadership skills. --For our World Impact Community Church to find ways to reach out to the community.
