Ministry Description
At the beginning of 2009, we were working on the meeting place that our church had rented in August 2008. Finally in March, we were able to hold our first service with many thanks to a work team that came from Trinity Alliance in Egg Harbor to help us finish the interior walls. Since that time, the church has grown to almost 80 people, adults and children. The Lord has been sending us many young families and helping us understand that this is the area on which we are to focus in the months ahead. During 2009, two people were baptized and one person came to faith in Christ. We rejoiced at the election of our first elder who will soon be joined by another elder in March 2010. In June of this year, we will return to the US for a one year home assignment. With this reality facing us, we have been working intentionally at getting leadership in place to carry the church forward during our absence. Our home assignment year will be a time for us to raise awareness for France and the ministry of the church we are leading. We look forward to ministry in the Metro area and returning to France in 2011 to continue the ministry at Eglise Protestante Internationale (EPI).
Prayer Requests
1. Pray that we will be able to purchase/rent an adjoining unit so that we can provide needed space for this growing congregation. 2. Pray for the leadership team that will be in place at our departure on June 25, 2010 who will continue to lead the church over the next year. 3. We will begin our home assignment in June and fulfilling our tour ministry in the Metro District. Please pray for receptive and open hearts as we share in churches. 4. Our parents are still living but not in good health. We hope that our home assignment year will be a time for us to minister to them. Please pray for our parents as well as the time we will be able to spend with them.
