Ministry Description

DAKAR INITIATIVE We are part of the Dakar Chruch planting team. We are working with the team here on what we are calling; "Dakar Initiative". Working in a predominantly Muslim context it is difficult to even win enough trust to share the good news of Christ. The Dakar Initiative is attempting to build bridges in the professional community of Dakar. Through this initiative we have folks that are going to be working in the business sector, others working in medical training and ministry. others teaching English and others doing coaching etc. All of these with the intent of blessing the community and winning enough trust to minister. FAMILY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP of DAKAR One of the parts of this effort is the ministry of Family Christian Fellowship. This is a small English speaking fellowship that meets in the music hall of the International School of Dakar. As of the beginning of March I will be stepping into the role of Pastor for this community of believers. There are very few places where people we are targeting in this initiative can find their way into a body of believers. We are believing that this community can be part of that. MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER WEST AFRICA We are spearheading the implantation of Marriage Encounter to the capital city of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou. We will have our first week end in July of this year. Our prayer is that ME will have an impact in Ouagadougou and the door open to go to other cities in West Africa as well.

Prayer Requests

1. Pray for us as we step into the role of pastoring Family Christian Fellowship of Dakar. Pray that we will impact the sizable english speaking population of Dakar as well as making bridges into the lives of english speaking Senegalese. 2. Pray for the launching of Marriage Encounter in Ouagadougou. The week end will take place from the 30th of July to the 1st of August, 2010. We have couples coming from 4 different continents to help us get ME launched in Ougadougou. 3. Pray for our girls as they will transition into another school next fall. Hopefully this will be where they stay for a few years.
