The Interfaith Council for Homeless Families of Morris County is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending the crisis of homelessness through direct service, community awareness and participation, the advocacy of responsible solutions, and facilitating the transition to permanent housing.

Participating congregations provide shelter, meals and other in-kind support to the families.  Host congregations use their facilities to shelter the families.  Support congregations provide meals and offer fellowship to the families.  Long Hill Chapel is a support congregation for families hosted by Stanley Congregational Church in Chatham.

In 2010, Long Hill Chapel is responsible to provide volunteers on the following dates:

March 1 & 6
May 3 & 8
November 29 & December 4

Long Hill Chapel’s Women’s Ministries invites you to join us for a day long simulcast by renowned author and Bible teacher, Beth Moore that will transform and liberate you!  Since Eve and the Garden of Eden insecurities have plagued all females.  Today’s women - young and old, rich and poor, saved and unsaved - suffer from such deeply rooted insecurities that most don’t even know how to identify them and beyond that can’t even imagine living without them.  Beth will share with us her thoughts on how we need not be enslaved by our doubts, insecurities and fears.  Discover the joy of living with confidence and liberation that can only be found in Christ Jesus.

Please join us for our next course beginning Thursday, February 25th at 7:15 p.m., where we will explore the question “Is There More to Life than This?” through the Alpha Course. This is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. Every evening we begin with dinner, followed by a short talk. Then over coffee and dessert we discuss the talk along with any and all questions that you might have. The Alpha course is designed both for people who aren’t churchgoers and and those that are. Guests attend for a wide variety of reasons - some want to investigate whether God exists; some are concerned about what happens after death and others want to get more connected to their faith. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others want to understand other peoples’ beliefs or would like to explore what the purpose of life is. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith and even for those who have been to Church for a number of years have found the course to be a great way of deepening their faith and becoming more connected.
