Unbelievable?
Author & speaker Brennan Manning has said that
“the single greatest cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable“I began thinking about this and it has been nagging my mind for several days. Could it be true that we are to blame for much of the unbelief in the world due to our hypocritical and blatant disregard for living out our faith when we leave the four walls of church on sunday mornings? Are we fakes with facades much like the pharisees of Jesus’ day? I don’t know, maybe it just me. I know that I have worn my share of masks in the past. It would see that we as the body of Christ would be able to get past this “religiosity” that has plagued the cause of Christ from its inception. How can we live out consistently what we believe? How can people know from your life that Jesus is real? Let’s chat about it.
